Bisphenol A is, yet again, a piping hot topic worldwide and it's impact on you and your baby.

What is Bisphenol A ?

Bisphenol A is a common chemical used in the manufacturing process of polycarbonate plastic. It is now being linked to a vast range of health related issues which include cancer, heart disease immune problems and of course estrogen and puberty problems.

Who can Bisphenol A come into contact with?

In short, pretty much everyone. It's estimated that 95% of Australians have detectable levels of Bisphenol A in their bodies. The study also found that Bisphenol A affected animals with substantially lower levels in them.

Where can Bisphenol A be found?

Bisphenol A is found in a larger, in fact most, polycarbonate bottles, which also includes most plastic baby feeding bottles - scary thought. Bisphenol A can also be found with the following products:
  • Most children's toys
  • Reusable drink bottles
  • Biking and sporting helmets
  • Most takeaway food containers
  • Sunglasses
  • The lining of food and drink containers
